Quality Records
Control or Control of all Quality Records such as corrective action
reports, engineering change requests, internal audits, contract
reviews and customer complaints. The Quality Records Control module
contains databases used to control all documents related to quality
in every organization as per the
standards.
In this section
we are describing briefly how the quality system records, including
pertinent subcontractor records, are controlled and maintained to
provide evidence of conformance to requirements and the effective
operation of the quality management system by way of Quality Records
Control.
Maintain
records in Quality Records Control:
- The
identification, collection, indexing, access, filing, storage,
maintenance and retention times are defined in the quality records
master list.
- The defined
minimum retention periods for Quality Records have been defined by
departmental authorities taking into consideration statutory &
regulatory requirements. Records may be retained longer than the
minimum retention period at the discretion of the relevant
authority.
- Quality
records are stored in hard-copy; electronic media or other
suitable forms as uniquely appropriate.
Provide
suitable storage environment while Quality Records
Control:
- Quality
Records Control are stored in environments to protect them form
damage, abuse, loss or alteration. They are maintained in a
manner to be readily retrievable and to ensure future legibility
& identification.
- Quality
Records Control may be transferred to longer term storage
locations when appropriate and are suitably boxed, labeled and
stored in a manner that continues to protect their condition,
identification and future accessibility.
Define
disposition methods while Quality Records
Control:
- Hard-copy
records & electronic media are destroyed by personnel assigned
by the approval authority or by a third-party vendor as uniquely
appropriate.
- Records are
not destroyed or dispositioned until the defined minimum retention
period has passed.
Quality
Records Control and making available to customer: Quality records
are made available to customers during Quality Records Control for
evaluation when contractually agreed for a given period.
